Meadows Festival Info

The Meadows, formerly the Burgh Loch, lie to the south of the Old Town of Edinburgh. The Meadows Festival has been held annually since 1975. It is a free community festival with sporting activities, local bands, stalls and family entertainment. This year's festival is to be held on 7th and 8th June 2008. The area of benefit is that part of Edinburgh which lies to the south of Prince's Street. The Festival is for all who live, work or have a social or commercial interest in the area. Applications are invited to provide information, charity and commercial stalls, from local bands, classical musicians and other performers to provide entertainment and for volunteers to assist with the management and running of the festival. Just click on the relevant label and get involved. As this is a community event involving children, families and all sections of the community, we have a policy for the protection of children and adults at risk. All of our volunteers will go through a free enhanced disclosure process to ensure that the festival is a success. We aim for a safe and secure environment for the festival
